Stones Finally performing in China

Look out Shanghai, after three years of waiting for the Rolling Stones, China is about to get their rock ‘n’ roll invasion. The Chinese had to wait because of a SARS outbreak that cancelled the shows that they were going to perform three years to the date.

They are scheduled for their debut on Apr. 8. The China-based promoter Emma Entertainment says that the ticket prices will fluctuate between 300 to 3,000 yuan, or between $37 to $300. 

The Chinese concert is a continuation of the band’s A Bigger Bang world tour. Before they will stop in Tokyo and Sapporo, Japan and then from China go on to Sydney and Melbourne, and then to Wellington, New Zealand.

After years of attempting to perform in , the Stones finally obtained it, along with an acceptance of certain songs being censored. They have had to cut four songs from the list they play – “Brown Sugar,” “Honky Tonk Woman,” “Beast of Burden” and “Let’s Spend the Night Together” – because of the sexual lyrics.
