That’s like saying that having people with money shouldn't be at a Sotheby's auction because they will take away from the appreciation of the items' aesthetic value.

Let’s face it, how many anorexic models would anybody come to watch if the celebrities didn’t come to show themselves. Fashion has become the game of all of the rest of us watching the celebrities watch. Man, are we getting bored or what?

Would I be writing about this or you be reading this if celebrities weren’t the big part of fashion week. What would the fashion industry be without them?

Of course it is no longer just watching celebrities watch. It is also about spotting them in the area and celebs as designers and even as the new entertainment journalists. Now we have celebs hunting down other celebs. Where will it all end?

The fashion industry is just going to have to learn to share or rather be dimmed in the spotlight of the celeb connection. They should enjoy the free publicity and draw that they bring to the industry.

When the Heart Association convinced Lindsay Lohan and Eartha Kitt to go down the runway for the Red Dress show, needless to say, it was packed.

The bottom line is that celebrity is going always be a bigger part of fashion than fashion itself. If I was in the business I would just be thankful for the great draw they give to the shows and hang on for the ride.
