With the back-to-back episodes of Alias being shown to begin its last season, it received the highest numbers since it's season premiere, according to ABC.
Even with all the hype about Hollywood mothers going around, Sydney Bristow was the most watched new mother. The two-hour season opener averaged 7.5 million viewers, putting it 48th in the latest Nielsen Media Research rankings.
The two episodes marked the return of Alias to the prime time lineup after a four-month hiatus. December was the month that it was revealed that Alias was going to be cancelled, not doing well at all, similar to preceding ABC offerings through the years that they provided for Thursday nights.
The show did do well in its return, still the end of the series is coming as the finale is scheduled for May.
