The highly anticipated "Celebrity Cooking Showdown" is a new reality show that joins some of the world's best chefs with the stars.
The host of the series will be one of TVs favorites, Alan Thicke ("Growing Pains"). The in-studio judges will be lifestyle expert Colin Cowie ("Everyday Elegance with Colin Cowie") and New York Magazine food critic, Gael Greene.
Celebrity chefs Wolfgang Puck, Cat Cora (Food Network's "Iron Chef America") and Govind Armstrong (executive chef, Table 8, Los Angeles) will pair up with celebrities in this new reality cooking competition over the course of five consecutive weeknights from April 17-21.
These will be the competitors that will be facing off before a raucous crowd:
April 17, 2006 (9-10 p.m. ET) -- Night one showcases football star Tony Gonzalez (Kansas City Chiefs), Alison Sweeney ("Days of our Lives") and internet star Cindy Margolis.
April 18, 2006 (8-9 p.m. ET) -- In night two of the competition, singing legend Patti LaBelle will face-off against Ashley Parker Angel (MTV's "There and Back") and supermodel Gabrielle Reece
April 19, 2006 (8-9 p.m. ET) -- Night three of the competition will feature comedian Tom Arnold, Miss USA Chelsea Cooley and country star Big Kenny ("Big and Rich").
The winner of each night will advance to a final cook-off. Viewers will have the opportunity to vote on who they believe is the winner. You will be able to participate by your cell phone or by logging on to the "Celebrity Cooking Showdown" website found on NBC.com/cooking.
The show will also offer viewers the chance to win GE Kitchen Appliances through playing their live interactive "Dream Kitchen Giveaway" each night during the series.
