During its presentation on Wednesday, College Sports Television (CSTV) Networks has announced its upcoming shows for next season. There will be four new offerings that will be seen only on CSTV.com broadband and five new original reality shows made for TV.
"New broadband shows include The Brian Curtis Show; Tailgates and Traditions; Exit Stage Left; and trUe Story, which will use U-Wire service - CSTV's college newspaper wire - to uncover inside stories on college campuses.
"The fresh TV programming includes Coach for a Day, which follows sports stars as they coach their former college teams for a day; Brain Freeze, an academic quiz show for college athletes; The Big Whistle, where contestants fight for a Division 1 men's basketball coaching spot; The Write Stuff, in which sports reporters for college newspaper compete to work at Sports Illustrated; and Go Pro or Go Home, which introduces indoor volleyball players to the beach version of the sport."
Tim Pernetti, senior VP of programming added that "We will offer more unique programming, providing fans what they want, when they want it, and how they want to get it."
This is the way to do it. So why are the networks continually fighting tooth and nail over changing to this model?
