Michael Todd Jr. producer of Smell-o-vision

Some of you may be old enough to remember a buzz that was created quite a long time ago by Mike Todd who created it. It was a one-time offering in the theaters called Smell-o-Vision. Well now in Japan they are bringing it back to the theater, during screenings of Terrence Malick's "The New World."
The original and only other movie that it was ever done with was "Scent of Mystery" in 1960.
NTT communications announced that it would make use of the Internet as a means of offering the scent into the movie screenings. It is based upon the Smell-o-Vision system used back in 1960 other than the Internet usage.
In the cities of Tokyo and Osaka, in two theaters on April 22 is when the testings will take place.
One thing that NTT didn't give an explanation for was how they have dealt with the original major problem that happened with Smell-o-Vision: getting rid of the odors that built up in the theaters during the entire length of the show being offered.
I wonder if they thought of that?
