Country music team Brooks & Dunn announced a two-year contract Monday with the Las Vegas Hilton. For the next couple of years they won't be just coming to Vegas for rodeo week.
Kix Brooks said at a news conference that "It's really exciting. The Hilton has given us an opportunity to play more than once a year," I'm really looking forward to a little more Las Vegas."
Along with the National Finals Rodeo gig on Dec. 4-6, Brooks also said that he and Ronnie Dunn would perform at the Hilton hotel-casino in March and July of next year, then they would come back to perform at the rodeo in December 2007.
The announcement was especially gratifying to them as they announced right before the 41st annual Academy of Country Music awards are about to begin at the MGM Grand. This year they have been nominated in five categories and have taken home some hardware 19 times - more than any other country artist.
Currently their album "Hillbilly Deluxe" went to No. 1 and gone gold with over 500,000 units sold.
Brooks and Dunn were introduced to the Hilton family by Reba McEntire who played there earlier this month (May 2006).
