American Idol not only creates great opportunities for the eventual winners, but also for many of the participants throughout the process.
The great service the show offers for those involved is of course a launching pad for their careers. This has revealed and helped to fill a great void in show business. The success of those involved have proved that. It shows that talent alone doesn't do it for a person, but a terrific vehicle created for the purpose of bringing that talent to the awareness of the public is what has been missing for many.
American Idol, among other shows like it, has proven to be a terrific vehicle for launching talented entertainers into not only stardom but being revealed to a public that heartily wants what they have to offer.
To me one of the great strengths of the American Idol is that it really is a serialized show. It is a story that is unfolding before our eyes, and we have the opportunity to participate in it. Even the judges are part of the tale and have their own side story going on.
Another reason why Idol is so great is that people love to root people on and have a part in their success. We feel not only like we help them rise to stardom, but that we have have gone there with them.
What is it about American Idol that you love or intrigues you?
