Through a partnership with Ashok Amritraj's Hyde Park Entertainment Group, Adlab Films Ltd is gaining an entry into the Hollywood movie scene.
Adlabs Films chairman and managing director Manmohan Shetty said, "We will be making Hollywood movies only with Hyde Park Entertainment. The first co-financed movie will start production in the next 2-3 months. We are finalising the investment details. We are also working out other movie projects."
The deal was inked after Adlabs Films had offices set up both in the UK and US.
Bollywood movies will be the main business activity with the overseas operations searching for opportunities in film production and post-production activities. The Adlab strategy is to distribute 18-24 films overseas this year.
Hyde Park Entertainment signed a deal last year with 20th Century Fox for first-look production and distribution deals.
The deal included co-financing, production and distribution as well as a number of put pictures. Fox will handle domestic distribution on all films falling under the deal; Hyde Park will handle international.
