As others before her, Katharine McPhee has found out that coming in second on American Idol, can be very rewarding too. McPhee, who came in second to Taylor Hicks in the top-rated finale a couple of weeks ago, signed a record deal with clive Davis and 19 Recordings Unlimited, which is the label managed by "Idol" creator Simon Fuller.
McPhee will be releasing two of her recordings - "Over the Rainbow" and "My Destiny" - in various stores and digital outlets on June 27.
She recently told The Associated Press that she had no regrets as she didn't think she was going to win. "It would really just be silly to feel bad for me at this point. I got a record deal, a new car."
Acting in movies and in musical theater are some of her professional goals as well.
