Starbucks Coffee (SBUX) and Image Entertainment have teamed up to co-release a deluxe edition DVD/CD of Chuck Berry Hail! Hail! Rock ‘n’ Roll, the 1987 feature-length documentary from Academy Award-nominated director Taylor Hackford.
The set will feature over 40 minutes of first-time released footage that will be combined with a 14-song CD of Chuck Berry hits from the 1950s and '60s, and will be produced by Starbucks Hear Music, which is the music development arm of Starbucks.
The over 9,000 Starbucks locations will be the only place where you can get the DVD/CD set, which will be offered for $19.95 or on their Internet site - www.starbucks.com/hearmusic.
Image Entertainment acquired the North American DVD rights to the Berry film in January, which shows a get together of a number of well-known musicians to celebrate Berry's 60th birthday.
It includes entertainers like Eric Clapton, Etta James, Linda Rondstadt, Robert Cray and Julian Lennon and interviews with Jerry Lee Lewis, Little Richard, Roy Orbison and Bo Diddley.
