
CMT joins the growing number of cable channels migrating to the broadband video platform.
"The new network launches with music at its core, as it will feature 500 exclusive artist performances, 2,200 country music videos and 10,000 music videos from across multiple genres. In addition, recent CMT.com staple Studio 330 Sessions, a series which features raw studio performance shot in CMT’s Nashville studio, will become a centerpiece of the new platform."
One of the strategies being included, like other recent channels, is the behind the scenes type of material that is so popular with DVD fans.
An example cited would be that fans will be able to watch Jeff Foxworthy rehearsals of upcoming CMT appearances. CMT executives said that they will add up to 75 new clips a week
CMT Loaded is using an ad-sponsored model with AT&T (T) being the major participant. Other advertisers will be Nationwide, Pfizer (PFE) and Fruit of the Loom.
