"Arrested Development," the comedy that had low ratings but with a fan base that loved them, is now going to be available soon on the web.
According to a report by Ad Age, the securing of exclusive syndication rights by MSN, is the first time a major studio has sold them to a web portal.
Fox has also inked a deal for "Arrested Development" with HDNet and G4 Media for basic cable rights.
Peter Levinsohn, Fox Digital Media president said, “This is the first time a series has been licensed to three platforms simultaneously, a testament to the explosion of the aftermarket for high-end content, we’re actively developing this exciting new arena with partners like MSN, HDNet and G4.”
The deal will give MSN, HDNet and G4 exclusive syndication rights to the show for the next three years.
