Even though he has sold an extraordinary 8.3 million copies of his "Great American Songbook" series, according to Nielsen SoundScan, Rod Stewart has decided to change things up on his next album.
Scheduled to be released on Oct. 10, his new album "Still the Same ... Great Rock Classics of Our Time," will feature such tracks as John Fogerty's "Have You Ever Seen the Rain," Elvin Bishop's "Fooled Around and Fell in Love" and Bob Dylan's "If Not for You," according to Billboard.
Other songs being considered for the album are Bob Seger's "Still the Same," Bonnie Tyler's "It's a Heartache" and Van Morrison's "Crazy Love."
Co-producing the album will be BMG North America chairman Clive Davis along with John Shanks.
