With the launch of their as-supported broadband channel in May, CBS has decided to add episodes of their hit shows to the mix.
The web site called Innertube, also features some original offerings created specifically for the online network, along with content that is connected to popular, current shows. As of now they are showing their made-for-the-web series "In Turn," "Animate This!" and the talk show "House Calls," along with entire episodes of "Big Brother: All-Stars."
Hollywood Reporter stated that the shows "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," "CSI: Miami," "CSI: NY," "Jericho," "NCIS," "Numbers" and "Survivor" will be offered on Innertube the morning after the initial network broadcast. Episodes of the three "CSI" series, "NCIS" and "Numbers" will be available for four weeks while episodes of "Jericho" and "Survivor" will remain available on the broadband channel all season.
I mentioned last post about the entertainment industry entering into this and how YouTube would struggle to differentiate itself as everyone begins doing the same thing. This is another example of this happening.
