The American Federation of Television and Radio Artists and the Screen Actors Guild have reached a tentative agreement with national advertisers to continue their contract that regulates $2 billion of advertising concerning where actors appear through 2008.
If it is ratified, it will envelop "all electronic and emerging media, and performers will get a six percent pay raise," according to MediaBuyerPlanner.
Included in the deal will be the formation of a committee by the unions and advertisers for the purpose of dealing with the quickly changing technologies and directions that the industry is now experiencing.
