Comedian Rodney Dangerfield died in Los Angeles at the age of 82. One of the funniest comics of his time, he was famous for his one-liner: "I don't get no respect!"
Jewish Theatre reported: "Among the keys to his comedy were constant self-deprecation, an unending barrage of often-sarcastic one-liners, and his woebegone expression, which gave credibility to his plaintive delivery."
Dangerfield was named Jacob Cohen at birth and later took on the name of Jack Roy when he was trying to break into the comedy circuit.
Some people may have forgottent that he was a regular in the early years of "Saturday Night Live" on the show.
His role in the comedy "Caddyshack" is still considered a classic in its genre. He was honored with a lifetime achievement award from the American Comedy Awards.
