With the "American Idol" crown and a hit single "Do I Make You Proud," Hicks has now signed a deal to write his memoirs.
The New York Post, cited by people.aol.com, reported that Random House's Crown imprint paid Hicks approximately $750,000 in advance for the memoir. Hicks agent, Alan Nevins, advised that the book will be ghost written by David Wild.
Called Heart Full of Soul, the book should be released in spring of 2007, according to the Post. The book will basically unveil the numerous obstacles Hicks had to overcome on his journey to stardom.
To add to all of this, Hicks has also been selected to appear on billboards along with fellow Idols Ruben Studdard and Bo Bice to promote Alabama's tourism industry.
