In a move to enlarge its digital media business, Zenith Media has purchased Moxie Interactive. The acquisition gets them up to par with its other property: Publicis network Starcom MediaVest Group.
Moxie itself, a company based in Atlanta, has a tremendous creative reputation and should be a great fit with Zenith.
Tim Jones, head of U.S. operations for Zenith, has to be feeling pretty good as it was one of his top priorities to expand the digital operations of the company when he too over the U.S. division. Jones said "I don't know where this would put us, in terms of market share, but it is substantial."
The focus of Zenith's digital center will now be transferred to Atlanta, and will reprot directly to Moxie Founder-CEO Kris Zagoria.
Zenith plans to use the company to move quickly to expand their digital markets through a variety of platforms including PC-based, mobile, online, digital out-of-home media, and interactive TV.
The interesting thing about this is when the company talks about its strategy, the thought of Television being the only screen available isn't even in their vocabulary anymore. They understand that it is a multi-screen world now and are planning and working within that reality.
