The Hollywood Reporter stated that Two and a Half Men star Charlie Sheen, has negotiated a deal paying him a big increase of $350,000 per episode. It makes him televisions' highest-paid sitcom star.
Word is that Sheen was trying to land a similar payout as the cast of Friends, who were getting around $1 million per episode in the last season.
Eonline cited the Reporter as saying that sources close to the negotiations affirm that CBS (CBS)has agreed to pay for a part of Sheen's salary, something that is pretty normal among shows wanting to keep their main actors or actresses. Two and a Half Men is still the highest ranked TV comedy, the major reason Sheen thought he should be paid more.
Assuming everything is agreed to, the deal will bring Sheen a cool $8.4 million for the 24 shows this season.
