Nickelodeon's newest hit is the 'Mr. Meaty' show, geared toward kids in the 2-11 range.
Media Life said:
For its first and second episodes, airing Saturdays at 9:30 a.m. in week one and 10:30 in week two, "Mr. Meaty" averaged a 4.5 rating among 2-11s, which ranked it ahead of other top Nickelodeon shows like "Avatar," "Ned Declassified" and "Fairly OddParents."
The show started off as 17 shorts on Canada’s CBC network. Nickelodeon then decided to put the shorts on their broadband site, TurboNick, where it was so popular that they asked the creators Jamie Shannon and Jason Hopley to make it into a half-hour series for the studio.
"Mr. Meaty" is built around the typical types of gross stuff that kids always love to watch; the reason for its quick ride to being so popular
with them.
The show has a hilarious line for the restaurant saying "All God’s creatures fresh off the grill," and another one making fun of the nearby vegetarian place called "Soy What."
The writers know how to make the kids laugh; and a few adults too.
