Choosing to offer something different for their TV viewers, NBC has decided to put a whole night of comedy on their Thursday prime-time lineup.
"We are excited about the prospect of two-hours of top-notch comedy on Thursday nights, which includes the return of 'Scrubs,'" NBC Entertainment president Kevin Reilly says. "We will stay on-brand with the best comedy block on television, which will position us for the future on the night."
The changes means 'Scrubs' and '30 Rock' will be shifted from Wednesday to join comedy's 'My Name is Earl and 'The Office.' 'My Name is Earl' and 'The Office' will be kept in the current time slots from 8 to 9 p.m.
The network said it will run specials on Wednesday nights until the decision is made on what will be put in that slot.
