The fall season has already decided two shows that won't be continuing on in the schedule as "Smith" and "Kidnapped" have already been dropped from the rotation.
CBS said that "Smith" will be gone "until further notice." The network's law-and-order series will replace the show for the time being.
Starting on October 21, NBC announced that it won't be going beyond the current paid "Kidnapped" shows. The current time slot they're in will be replaced by Dateline NBC starting next week.
Smith was runnning third in its slot with 9.7 million viewers and was CBS' lowest rated drama. Kidnapped was worse with 6.3 million viewers, and was the least watched drama of all the big networks.
So far the fall season hasn't done much for new breakout shows, with nothing really taking in the publics interest in a big way.
