Grabbing another Tuesday night win without "Dancing with the Stars" on its schedule was a huge win for ABC (DIS) as it gets closer to taking the November sweeps for the first time in seven years. The last time they won was when "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire" was big in 1999. They got a Nielsen rating of 4.7/13 share among 18-49 average viewers for the night.
Fox (NWS), which has needed a good bump before they throw out their heavyweight shows early next year, received with a strong performance from "House," which had a powerful 6.4 rating, to help them to finish 4.2/11, for second place.
Coming in third place was CBS (CBS-A), whose leading show for the night was "NCIS," which had a 4.2 rating for the night, to put them in the third position.
NBC, which decided to put on their own music show, a tribute to Tony Bennett, did so poorly that they came in only 6th place for the evening with 1/3 share among 18-49 viewers. Even the CW and Univision were able to beat them out in that slot. They finished in forth place overall with 2.6/7.
