Harold Reynolds, a former ESPN baseball analyst, has sued the network for a minimum of $5 million Tuesday, alleging that being fired for hugging a female intern was wrong. He called it a "brief and innocuous" hug. He was fired on July 24.
"I have tried everything possible to handle this situation quietly behind the scenes," Reynolds said in a statement released Tuesday. "After numerous conversations and multiple mediation discussions with ESPN executives it is clear that ESPN had no intention of solving this problem amicably."
Reynolds had just signed a $6 million contract with the company and seeking that, plus lost earnings and interest. He is also asking that damages be assessed for loss of future earnings.
Joseph Garrison, a lawyer for Reynolds, said: "Moral turpitude, in my opinion, is not reflected by an innocuous hug. I think the case is very strong."
He is referring to Reynold's contract and its description of the reasons for him being able to be fired.

I don,t know what Harold Reynolds did, he was probably trying to get laid, and it backfired.Remember when Namath tried to kiss Suzy Kolber when she was interviewing him, and he was drunk? Anyways here's something else to ponder? Where does ESPN get some, or all of these baseball analysts? when the post season started each and everyone of them picked the Yankees, and the Cubs to win each of there series' and meet in the World Series. Didn't happen, ain't going to happen. Now I suppose they all get paid rather well by ESPN, and if they're getting more than minimum wage each and every one of them is over paid. Thank You Very Much,
