In possibly his first TV role since the end of the X-Files series, David Duchovny is set to return to television playing a single father that has sex and drug addictions.
The project at this time hasn't been named, but Duchovny is said to have been chosen to be the executive director of the show on behalf of the Showtime network.
Duchovny hasn't played in any regular television role since the X-Files series ended in 2000.
He is always supposed to be working on another series for Showtime, a comedy called Yoga Man. Along with Bart Freundlich, who was his director in Trust The Man, Duchovny will be writing the pilot script for the series.
