
The leading ethnic Internet broadcaster, JumpTV Inc. announced that it has secured an agreement with GloboSat Entertainment LLC, to offer exclusive Internet broadcasting of the top three Hindi channels in selected territories.
GloboSat Entertainment Networks International owns the distribution rights to Sahara One TV, a Hindi general entertainment channel; Sahara Samay, India's leading 24/7 news channel; and Sahara Filmy, India's top Hindi movie channel.
Kaleil Isaza Tuzman, president and chief executive officer of JumpTV International stated, "Hindi is the fifth most spoken language in the world. The addition of these channels makes it easier for the millions of Hindi speaking people living outside South Asia to remain connected to the television programming they know and love
from home."
The three channels will be priced individually at $9.95 a month. They will probably become integrated in bundled offerings in the future, integrated with South Asian channels. The JumpTV (JTV.TO) Internet network now has 230 channels under its umbrella of licensed programming.
