
Jack Palance, probably one of the most well-liked bad guys in the movies, died at the age of 87 at the home of his daughter Holly, according to family members.
While he was nominated for Academy Awards for his roles in "Sudden Fear" and "Shane," it wasn't until around 40 years after that he finally
got one for his role in "City Slickers."
Palance was named Volodymir Ivanovich Palahniuk when born on February 18, 1919 in Pennsylvania.
He is survived by daughters, Holly and Brooke, as well as his wife Elaine. His son, Cody, died of cancer in 1999.
