Larry and Andy Wachowski, creators of "The Matrix," are in the process of teaming up with producer Joel Silver to bring to life the 1960s animated series "Speed Racer."
The Wachowski's will be writing and directing the movie. The Hollywood Reporter says that they will be teaming up "with several of the creative behind-the-scenes talent from the "Matrix" films, including executive producer Grant Hill and visual effects supervisor John Gaeta, who won an Oscar for his work on 'The Matrix.'"
Silver has personally been tring to get the project in motion for around 15 years. He talked to the brothers about working with him on it, but they weren't interested if there wasn't something new they could bring with it.
They are looking to be ready to shoot the movie in the summer of 2007 with a summer release in 2008.

NO Speed Racer No ! I'd rather see the Wachowski's do another SCI-FI flick like, "The Axis" or "DreamScapesAxis" movie they were considering before "V for Vendetta". What happened to the DreamScapesAxis Movie ? Speed Racer doesn't seem like a Wachowski movie.
No Speed Racer No.
