In an effort to integrate that various platforms, NBC Universal has announced the launch of "iVillage Live," set to debut on Dec.4.
The show will be filmed before a live studio audience at NBC Universal's 'Universal Orlando Resort.' It will also be broadcast at the same time on their 10 owned-and-operated local stations, according to Media Daily News. The show will be broadcast at noon EST.
They will also connect it to their new Internet property iVillage.com. A unique aspect of that will be a live chat hosting service during the broadcast stream on the Web site.
Viewers will also be enabled to chat through their mobile phones as well, extending the offering to three different platforms.
I look forward to seeing how this experiement works out as it's at least embracing the changing realities that we live in. It should be a good move for NBC Universal.
