Also inspired by her brown-and-white bulldog Noelle, who a veterinarian told Gloria wouldn't live, she told him: "Try to save her. This dog's a survivor," she has started writing books to encourage children.
Her first book, which was based upon Noelle, was called "The Magically Mysterious Adventures of Noelle the Bulldog," in children's books.
