
The Holiday fare in demand this time of the year, it's not surprising to see the Warner Bros. animation hit Happy Feet take the No. 1 spot for the weekend, coming in with an estimated $42.3 million at the box office. It averaged a strong $11,125 at each theater.
The much-hyped Casino Royale performed great as well as it is estimated to taken in around $40.6 million. If the estimates hold, it'll be
the second time in history that two films opened at over $40 million for a weekend.
With the two new strong openings, Borat dropped to third place for the weekend, still taking in a respectable $14.4 million for its third weekend. For its 17-day run, it has now reached $90.5 million and is projected to go to around $125 million in its domestic take.
