
Univision Communications announced on Thursday that third-quarter net revenues increased by 7.8 percent to $536 million.
The media company, which is the largest U.S. Spanish-language broadcaster, had a strong ad market and a huge increase from their exclusive coverage of the World Cup soccer tournament.
Revenue from soccer alone added an estimated $24.7 million for the quarter ending Sept. 30.
Overall revenue for the TV business surged 14.8 percent to $394.2 million and operating income increased 23.3 percent to $159.6 million.
Variety reported that Univision TV beat ABC, CBS, NBC or Fox on four out of every five nights among adults 18-34 in primetime.
Their radio division Univision Radio also grew strongly increasing 6.5 percent to $103 million.
