CBS announced that their late-night comic, David Letterman has signed on with them through 2010. Rumors have been swirling around for several months that he had accepted the offer.
Letterman said: "I'm thrilled to be continuing on at CBS (CBS), at my age you really don't want to have to learn a new commute."
His contract is reportedly rewarding him with a contract that is over $30 million a year. He will last longer than his chief competitor Jay Leno, who's had the upper
hand over the last 10 years, but will be stepping down from the NBCs "Tonight" show in 2009.
CBS President Leslie Moonves added that, "We are truly honored that one of the most revered and talented entertainers of our time will continue to call CBS home."
