
Upscale travel television network Plum TV, has added three new Web sites to it venue of resort towns it covers - Aspen, Vail and Telluride, Colorado. The Web site already has online channels covering the Hamptons, Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket, with plans for covering Sun Valley, Idaho, and Miami Beach, Fla. coming soon.
The Web sites will entail an ad-supported model, with current TV channel advertisers being the main online advertisers at the launching of the channels.
While including some of the clips from its TV channel, the Web site will ad typical online fare as it includes still photos and possibily some blogs, according to Plum TV president and co-founder Chris Glowacki.
Glowacki added that, "The new Web sites will really be a resource for and about those destinations."
It will include weather conditions, available content for people planning trips to the areas and upcoming events. Plum TV just received $20 million in additional funding from former president and CEO of Viacom Tom Freston, entrepreneur Jimmy Buffett and chairman and CEO of Virgin Records U.S. Jason Flom.
