Time Warner Searching How to Grow in the Digital Marketplace

In the new digital distribution world, Time Warner (TWX) Chairman-CEO Dick Parsons says that the company is trying to find a balance between "leading and following the customer." He added that part of that reality is not to get too far ahead, or fall too far behind.

As we talk about here at bizofshowbiz all the time: this is the issue that Hollywood and media companies face.

In Time Warner's case, they're responding by creating a digital production studio for the purpose of discovering the greatest way to offer and monetize online content.

Randy%20Falco.jpgCommenting on AOL's new CEO, Randy Falco, Parsons said that he was "a leader and a manager who could bring us superior execution ... a first-class guy."
 
He reiterated that AOL is now an advertising business they're building, which plays into Falco's strengths, as he's had a lot of experience in the television advertising space.
