
With boasting rights to the top-rated food show on cable, Bravo will begin casting for its third season for the the popular Top Chef reality series.
In its second season, the show averaged 1.22 million viewers aged 18-49, according to Nielsen Media Research, via Mediaweek. Among women from the ages of 25-54, it was also No. 1, with an average of 755,000 viewers.
“The second season of Top Chef has outperformed even our highest expectations both in ratings and the quality of this non-fictional competitive drama,” said Bravo president Lauren Zalaznick. “We look forward to discovering another group of culinary talents with the same passion for food and cooking with commanding personalities that make Top Chef a must-see every Wednesday night.”
Executive producer Shauna Minoprio will return for the third installment of the series, along with producers Dan Cutforth and Jane Lipsitz.
