The music industry has continually infuriated consumers by using all sorts of methods to attempt to protect their copyrights. Now people are starting to fight back and attempt to turn things around.
Apple Computer (AAPL) was recently sued by one consumer alleging that the company, via its iTunes site, restricts how consumers can use the music they buy. The company uses digital rights management (DRM) software to keep consumers from using the music on other media devices.
In another lawsuit against several major record labels, a consumer says that by 
using DRM violates antitrust law by music being prevented from being sold through a variety of retailers. The two lawsuits both ask for compensation along with the restriction being changed.
One analyst said "I can't think of another product that is actually worth more stolen than if you purchased it."
