NBC (GE) broadcast its first "Heroes" episode since December 4 and came away with the No. 1 show for the night, according to Nielsen. Heroes finished with a 6.5 rating/15 share in the 18-49 demographic, leading the way for NBC to take the night with an overall 5.0/12 rating.
The network also chose the night to bring back its other series "Studio 60." It brought in a 3.2-8 in the key audience, which was slightly higher than its last showing that also was on December 4.
With "24," they finished down some from their premiere week, ending up with a 5.4/12 score for the night. Last week's opener came in at 6.0/13 for the Jan. 14 and 5.9/13 for Jan. 15. Still the Fox (NWS) network was able to take second for the night with 4.8/11 across the board.
"CSI: Miami" drew well for CBS (CBS) with a 6.0/15, but was only able to help the network come in third in the key demographic with a 4.6/11. The network has
chosen to compete with comedy on their Monday night schedule.
Bringing up the rear for the four majors was ABC (DIS) which only was able to reach 3.2/8 for its reality shows and What About Brian.
It does make me wonder if some of the luster "24" is starting to fade as it begins its sixth season. That's the typical year that series start to fade historically.
