NBC (GE) is trying different strategies to get their new shows noticed. In another attempt at using different means to that end, they have made their upcoming drama "The Black Donnellys" available for Netflix subscribers before they even stream it online. The show itself won't be broadcast until the spring of 2007.
Netflix (NFLX) will be the only place that people can get a look at the "Black Donnellys" before it airs. Netflix customers will have until January 15 to watch it exclusively before it begins to be streamed on NBC.com.
The DVD will have the pilot of the "Black Donnellys" on it along with a sneak preview of another upcoming NBC drama "Raines." It will also have a recap of its new hit "Heroes," going over the first 11 episodes.
The offering will stay available for Netflix users through March.
