
Topping the weekend box office for the third consecutive week, "Night at the Museum" took in $24 million. The three-week total for the film now has reached $164.1 million.
The feel-good movie "The Pursuit of Happyness," starring Will Smith and his son, continues to do well as it came in second, bringing in another $13 million to bring its total to $124.2 million.
Increasing its exposure after its Holiday opening, the Universal thriller "Children of Men" came in third for the weekend with a total of $10.3 million, the No. 1 new movie.
Paramount's drama Freedom Writers," which has been dissed by the critics, opened up much stronger than predicted - almost doubling what many people thought it would do - coming in fourth in its debut with $9.7 million.
