
Stomp the Yard, the story about a Los Angeles student at an Atlanta university who helps his fraternity compete in a step dancing contest, came in first place for the weekend with an estimated $22 million in sales.
Night of the Museum continued to do well on a pretty slow box office weekend as it was bumped out of first place as it took in $17 million on its fourth weekend out.
The inspirational story The Pursuit of Happyness, starring Will Smith and his son came in third place, taking in a little over $9 million.
Another feel-good film, Freedom Writers, continues to do better than many of the critics thought as it took in over $7 million and was in fifth place over the weekend. It's taken in over $18 million through its second weekend.
