Roger KIng, CEO of CBS (CBS) Television Distribution, announced that "Wheel of Fortune" and "Jeopardy!" have been renewed through the 2011-2012 seasons.
So far the shows have been renewed in around a third of the country, with Sinclair, ABC (DIS), Post-Newsweek, Hearst-Argyle and CBS signing on.
When asked if hosts Alex Trebek, Vanna White and Pat Sajak are included as part of the deal, the response was that employee contracts aren't allowed to be
commmented on.
"Jeopardy!" which is in its 23rd season, is viewed by over 37 million people a week, while "Wheel of Fortune," now in its 24th season, is watched by over 46 million a week. They are both in the top three syndicated shows.
