
ABC (DIS) has announced that all ad spots for the upcoming telecast of the 79th Annual Academy Awards on February 25 have been sold out. Unnamed sources said that the 30-second spots sold for around $1.7 million.
On last years show there was a huge 18-49 demo rating of 13.9, along with a 33 share. The average viewership for the night was 39 million. ABC added that last year's telecast also had the highest viewing by the 18-49 demo who earned $100,000, were in professional jobs and who had graduated from college.
According to Mediaweek, citing the network, this years' advertisers are "AT&T (T), Bank of America, Careerbuilder.com, Coca Cola (KO), DoveCreamOil Body Wash, General Motors (GM), JCPenney (JCP), Kodak (EK), L’Oreal, Masterfoods, MasterCard (MA), McDonald’s (MCD) and Microsoft (MSFT).
