Female singer for The Black Eyed Peas, Fergie, has been enlisted by Candie's shoes to launch their spring ad campaign. The first showing of a commercial with Fergie in it will be on the Grammy's February 11 in limited markets. The Candie shoe brand is sold exclusively at Kohl's stores and their online site, kohls.com.
Some details of the partnership include personal appearances for the brand and participation in campaign launch events. Fergie's upcoming The Dutchess tour in the spring and summer will be sponsored by Candie and Kohl's.
The extensive launch will begin in March with ads placed in a variety of lifestyle, entertainment, fashion issues and will also be placed in strategic online teen web sites, along with TV spots on the major broadcast networks.
Brandweek added that "Candie's Web site will feature a 'That Is So Candie's' theme. Users can log onto www.candies.com and upload their real life 'Candie's' moments to 'C-tube' via video, photos or stories, and also enter to win a sweepstakes to become 'Dutchess for a Day.' One winner will be flown to Los Angeles for the next Candie's and Fergie photo shoot to have lunch with the star."
