Taking on and demolishing all comers, the Fox (NWS-A) juggernaut "American Idol" just keeps on rolling, taking out another victim "Jericho" from CBS (CBS-A).
It wasn't even an effort for Fox in taking the evening as they owned the 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. time slot with a 12.3/31 result in the 18-49 demographic. They wiped out the competition, beating the rest of the networks combined.
CBS could take some solace from the night as they did squeak through with a second-place finish of 3.3 rating/8.4 share, which just beat out ABC's (DIS) 3.3/8.3.
ABC's "Lost" stayed about the same with a 5.7/15 in the 10 p.m. slot, and "CSI: NY" finished in a similar position as the week before with 3.9/10 numbers for the time period. It looks like "Lost" may have found the size of the fan base that has
stayed with them.
With NBC (GE), they were only able to come up with a 2.1/5 for the entire night. The best show for them was "Medium" with a 2.4/6.
Upstart CW finished the night with a 1.4/3 with "One Tree Hill" being there top show scoring a 1.4/3 at 9 p.m.
