In a somewhat early, but not surprising move, Fox (NWS-A) renewed its hit series "House" for next year. Also being picked up and given an extra chance is "Bones," which has shown some improvement during the season.
"House" has been building momentum ever since its debut, and will now beging its fourth season in the fall, and is one of Fox's top performers. The show has a 7.1 rating/ 18 share in the key 18-49, along with a solid 17.4 million viewers.
"Bones" on the other hand, which will now be entering into its third season, hasn't gained the traction of "House," but has been steadily improving. The now have a 3.1 rating/8 share in the 18-49 demo this season, with 8.8 million viewers.
The hopes of Fox is that "Bones" will do a "House," and build momentum that brings it up to being one of its several elite shows.
