J.K. Rowling, saying that she'll miss Harry Potter, announced that the last of the book series "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows," will be published July 21.
Her U.S. publisher, Scholastic, said that there would be a hardback edition offered at the suggested retail price of $34.99, along with a deluxe edition for $65.00. Also for the U.S. market there will be included a reinforce library edition priced at $39.99.
For the British market, Rowling's publisher, Bloomsbury, revealed that on the same day of the release, they will offer an adult hardcover, children's hardcover, a special gift edition and an audio book as well. They also reminded us that this year is the tenth anniversary of Rowling's first installment of the series, "Harry Potter."
The book is so crucial for Bloomsbury shareholders, that it announced the publication date to the London Stock Exchange. The shares rose by 2 percent as a result.
While she has said in the past that there will be only seven books in the series, she has hinted that she might "publish an "encyclopedia" of the Harry Potter world consisting of all her unpublished material and notes."
Overall the "Harry Potter" series has sold a phenomenal 325 million copies across the world and been translated into 64 languages.
