NBC Universal (GE) scored a coup when it forged a two-year deal with Hollywood producer Ben Silverman and his company Reveille for first option on shows they develop. The deal will include any scripted or unscripted projects from Reveille.
The company has been hot with some of its latest productions as it has brought "The Office" and "The Biggest Loser" to NBC and "Nashville Star" to NBCU's USA, while creating surprise hit "Ugly Betty" for ABC (DIS).
"We are excited about the variety of possibilities that this newest collaboration will bring for NBC, SciFi, Bravo and the USA Network," said Jeff Zucker, the new CEO of NBC Universal.
"NBC is the perfect outlet for our edgy-but-accessible content. We can't wait to find the next hit series for them," said Silverman, founder-CEO of Reveille.
A key purpose for Reveille has been to create shows that offer great platforms for advertisers to integrate their marketing campaigns into. So far they've been doing the job great.
Another unique attribute that Reveille has developed is the ability to take foreign made films and successfully transform them into hits like they've done with "Betty" and "The Office."
