I'm not sure what the outcome long-term will be for Prince, but I'm not sure there's anyone out there that was disappointed in the half-time show performance he gave to millions. Most feedback I've gotten is that it is one of the best ever. Probably the one that matches it is the powerful, heart-tugging show after 9/11 that U2 performed.
For Prince, he started the gig off with "Let's Go Crazy," from there he blended into a short version of "Baby I'm A Star," did a little of Credence's "Proud Mary," went to the Foo Fighters hit "Best of You," and topped the show off with nothing other than his "Purple Rain" while it downpoured on the crowd. The crowd didn't mind as he brought them to their feet in appreciation.
The only really unique thing, in contrast to Prince's past, was the kerchief he wore as you can see in the picture.
Prince also had invited the Florida A&M band to perform with him, which were great and the fans ate up.
What'd you think of Prince's performance?
